COVID-19 has had a significant impact on people’s health, causing high fatality rates. But it has also shown how we had to limit our freedoms and change our daily lives, especially how we consume and interact with others. This has been particularly felt in Hong Kong. But what about the longer-term effects on the city’s sustainability? This project aims to uncover how people in Hong Kong have changed their values and behaviours during the COVID-19 pandemic. This project sought to understand if their beliefs and actions have shifted and what drives these changes. By studying this, we can gain insights into how the pandemic has affected Hong Kong’s path towards sustainable development.
